As everyone  struggles today with the horror of the attack in Manchester, our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones, those who are critically injured in hospital and all those impacted by this devastating outrage.

In South Thanet, we send our deepest condolences to those grieving and suffering and stand in solidarity with the people of Manchester as they display the resilience, generosity, compassion and collective spirit that refuses to be cowed by what has happened.

Campaigning for the election has been suspended as a mark of respect.
