RECORD breaker Rosie Duffield will be in Margate on Sunday (30) to support a Labour candidate in next week’s by-election (Aug 3)

The Canterbury MP won a seat that had been Conservative since it was created 100 years ago, becoming its first Labour and its first female MP.

The mum-of-two is supporting Ian Venables’ bid to win a seat on Thanet District Council for Margate Central ward on Thursday (3).
Ms Duffield said:

I am looking forward to campaigning in Margate. I care about health, education and jobs, I’m extremely worried about the NHS and I know these are big issues in Margate.

Ian Venables said:
I am delighted Rosie is coming to support us in Margate. We’ve stood together on many a campaign and will stand together on many more. Sunday will be a great opportunity for Labour supporters to meet her.

The duo will canvas the ward. Rosie is expected in Margate at midday. If you’d like to get in the ian4margate campaign on Sunday, please email ian4margate@gmail.com
