South Thanet Labour, along with the vast majority of the Labour Party and wider movement, supported the Remain campaign.  We believed that our nation’s security and greater good and the rights, needs and aspirations of British people were best served by remaining in and providing leadership within the EU.

However, the majority have decided that we should leave the EU. We hope for cooperation and thoughtful consideration from all in the coming weeks and months to ensure careful and sensible negotiations in our best interests.
