Campaigning on the same side as many in this Conservative government sits uneasily with some Labour Party members and supporters.  However, there are strong Labour reasons for why Britain should remain in the EU.

South Thanet Constituency Labour Party will be discussing these reasons next week at our General Meeting on 8th April.  Our guest speaker, Peter Kyle, MP is the Labour lead on the EU campaign in the south east.  This promises to be an informative and lively evening with the opportunity to get on top of the reasons why a strong campaign from Labour is so important.  

Locally, Labour activists have been out and about on the streets, discussing the issue with people across Thanet. Over the Easter Bank Holiday, there were stalls and leafleting.  Members were able to counter many of the myths about the EU that some people confronted them with.
