The campaign for the Newington by-election hasn’t actually begun but the Labour team were in the ward this morning planning and preparing.

With new candidates David Green and Penny Newman, an excellent mix of experience and a fresh voice, keen to speak to and learn from Newington residents, there was a lot to plan.

First though, the final delivery of Cllrs Karen Constantine and Susan Kennedy’s latest newsletter for Newington had to be taken care of.  Many thanks to all the volunteers who’ve helped get this out in the last week.  It’s important that councillors stay in touch with all residents and, with regular surgeries and this latest newsletter, Karen and Susan are making sure that they are available for residents to talk to and that they keep everyone up-to-date with what they’ve been doing.

We’ll be keeping you posted on activity in the Newington campaign.  Election day is 1st July which is a Friday, unusually.
